services and photography packages

Q:  So, what type of services do you offer and how much will they cost?

A:   We specialize in wedding photography but also enjoy capturing memories from a whole host of special events (e.g., family reunions, senior portraits, etc.). Upon special request, we will also provide various commercial photography services. We must however be clear that our "specialty" and true passion revolves around wedding photography.

In terms of the fee when commissioning our services, please view our pricing pages for the most up-to-date list of our rates for wedding/special event packages, exquisite engagement photo packages, and various other a-la-carte services.

Q:  Do you offer engagement pictures?  If so, how much do they cost and what's included?

A:   Yes! We sure do offer engagement photo packages. A snappy, artistic engagement photo truly is worth a thousand words and we'd be honored to capture just such a photograph for you.

Our Prices & Fees page actually outlines the exact details of not only the fees for such photo packages but also what exactly is included. So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the prices page for more information on engagement photos.

Please keep in mind that we only photograph engagement packages during "off-peak" times of the week (i.e., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). Please read the next question for more information.

Q:  Regarding "engagement" & "bridal" shoots, are there any restrictions when I may schedule the session?

A:  As an aside, I'm glad to hear that you either booked a paid engagement-only shoot or are taking advantage of the engagement and/or bridal shoot included with a select number of our wedding & special event packages. I'm especially excited about our bridal photo shoots (aka "day-before" photos if you end up utilizing that time for couples photos) as these tend not only to generate outstanding pictures but also provide the added benefit of relieving some of the stress & pressure related to photography on the actual day of your wedding.

Nevertheless, back on point regarding your original question regarding restrictions, please keep in mind that we only schedule our engagement and bridal sessions during "off-peak" days of the week (i.e., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).

However, if you absolutely must have those photos captured during "peak" days (i.e., Friday - Sunday), you'll consequently need to book the session according to our Wedding & Special Event pricing structure. The only exception whereby we will shoot your engagement / bridal photos during "peak" days, while only be charged our standard engagement package rate, is during sunrise (i.e., shooting must conclude by no later than 8:15am). Please contact us for more information & availability.

NOTE:  If you are entitled to an engagement and/or bridal shoot as part of the photography package you reserved with us, please be advised that you may not use these blocks of time during "peak" days. Additionally, the time allocated for these "included" engagement/bridal shoots may not be combined with the primary event (i.e., "tacking-on", merging, or otherwise attempting to combine engagement / bridal photo shoot time with your main event is prohibited). As described in the preceding paragraph, should it be absolutely necessary for the photo session to take place during "peak" days, you would be required to remit payment according to our published Wedding & Special Event pricing structure ("off peak" time allotted & included with wedding/special event packages may not be credited or otherwise used to reduce the cost of events booked during "peak" days).

Q:  It looks like you only book "packages," is this correct?  If so, why is this the case?

A: Your are correct, we use the "packages" described on our various wedding/special event & engagement pricing pages as the framework for all our core services offered.To do otherwise is fiscally imprudent given the vast quantities of time and resources expended both in preparation for your event as well as the painstaking detail-oriented investment of our time during the post-production phase of your event.

Unlike our competition, we do not merely offer 2 or 3 different packages to choose from thereby unreasonably forcing you to either purchase or go without services otherwise not of your choosing. Instead, we offer a wide spectrum of packages according to the number of hours you so desire (we only work in full hour [60-minute] increments...nothing smaller).

Q: I booked 8-hours (or more) of time with you but want to "split" that block of time up. Is this possible?

A: Yes, absolutely! Keep in mind the following requirements when doing such:

     (a) only packages of 8 or more hours may be split;

     (b) your package may only be "split" one time;

     (c) the smallest block of time permitted is 2-hours; and

     (d) there must be a minimum of 6-hours "dead-time" in between the blocks (this allows us to set-up & tear-down equipment).

Need an example to better explain this policy? No problem, here are two examples of an 8-hour Package being "split" in blocks:

     >  The following IS permitted: 3-hour block from 5-8pm Friday night (bridal shots); 5-hour block from 3-8pm Saturday (wedding).

     >  The following is NOT permitted: 3-hour block from 5-8pm Friday night (bridal shots); 2-hour block from 9-11am Saturday

         (wedding ceremony); 3-hour block from 6-9pm Saturday (wedding reception).
